Professor Grumbleflick has started an online L&WHCSS shop where you can buy t shirts mugs beer tankards etc with our logo on it, hopefully once we have raised a bit of money we can actually hold stocks of these items and introduce things like enamel badges which will reduce the cost of each item by a huge amount.

The online shop allows us to not outlay any money in advance, this is why it is so expensive to get items at the moment.

Shop address is:

The Great Steampunk Exhibition
STEAMPUNK FASHION WEEKEND
Kew Bridge Steam Museum July 16th/17th

Kew Bridge Steam Museum is hosting the Great Steampunk Exhibition for the summer of 2011.  This is the only place where you can see Steampunk art pieces from around the World displayed alongside working steam engines!

As part of this exhibition there are a number of special events weekends.  July 16th and 17th the spotlight is turned on Steampunk Fashion.

Steampunk has begun exerting a strong influence on high street and alternative fashion.  This weekend will celebrate steampunk fashion from its roots and in a fabulous setting surrounded by huge steam engines!

Over the course of the weekend we will be exploring and celebrating what makes a well dressed steampunk.  With panel and workshop items you can learn more, ask questions or even contribute to the making of some new fashion pieces for inclusion in the Great Exhibition. We will also have makers and traders so a chance to add that sought after item or accessory to your wardrobe.  (Of course there will also be engines in full steam, rides on the steam train and tea duelling too.)
On Saturday and Sunday afternoon there will be a "Be Splendid Fashion Parade".  Visitors are invited to  show their outfits and costumes for the appreciation of the audience.  Awards will be made to the best steampunk fashion outfits and best steampunk costumes.

On Saturday evening from 7.30 we also have our Steampunk Fashion Show.   We have limited tickets available for a sequence of catwalk features showcasing steampunk fashion.

Want to get involved?

Admission to the Exhibition costs £9.50 for adults, £8.50 for OAPs and Students and £3.50 for children.  Your ticket allows you to return as many times as you wish for a whole year.  Come along and join us.  Don't forget to dress to impress.

The Evening Fashion Show is a seperate ticketed event.  Priced at £7.50 including drinks on arrival.

Interested in trading?  A stand costs just £30 for the weekend.  Interested in showing or modelling at the fashion show?  Contact majortinker@aol.com and explain how you would like to join in.
